Amido Black 10Bis used as a histological, protein, and nucleic acid dye used in electrophoresis. Naphthol Blue Black is an important and commonly used industrial dye. This dye is also used in rapid staining of protein bands on nitrocellulose membranes such as Western blots. Naphthol Blue Black can be utilized as a nucleic acid stain in SDS-Page gels. Additionally this compound has been untilized in cell proliferation assays and histochemical studies. It is also used in criminal investigations to detect blood present with latent fingerprints. They are also used in paints, inks, plastics and leather.

Avoid breathing dust/fume/gas/mist/vapours/spray. Wash face, hands and any exposed skin thoroughly after handling Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Contaminated work clothing should not be allowed out of the workplace. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection. IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of soap and water. IF INHALED: Remove to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Get medical advice/attention if you feel unwell. If skin irritation occurs: Get medical advice/attention. If eye irritation persists: Take off contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. Store in a well-ventilated place. Keep container tightly closed. Dispose of contents/ container to an approved waste disposal plant
