1,10-Phenanthroline iron(II) perchlorate is used as an oxidation, reduction indicator. It is used for the detection, identification, analysis, of chemical, biological, or pathologic processes or conditions. Agents that are capable of inserting themselves between the successive bases in DNA, thus kinking, uncoiling or otherwise deforming it and therefore preventing its proper functioning. They are used in the study of DNA.

Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician if you feel unwell. Take off contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. In case of fire: Store in a well-ventilated place. Keep container tightly closed. Dispose of contents/ container to an approved waste disposal plant
