1-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone, is useful for spectrophotometry, chromatography and ICP-MS detection. It is useful for the chemical functionalization of graphene sheets by solvothermal reduction of graphene oxide. It is also useful for pharmaceutical and different industrial applications due to its broad solvency and low volatility.

Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. IF exposed or concerned: Get medical advice/attention. If skin irritation occurs: Take off contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. In case of fire: Store in a well-ventilated place. Keep container tightly closed. Dispose of contents/ container to an approved waste disposal plant
